Austin Energy will be rolling out an 8% increase to energy rates. The increase can still be higher, which was originally set at 16% but the Austin City Council is trying to limit the increase. The video has some great information about the upcoming vote.

The real story to City of Arlington’s article is that these large solar systems were emplaced on these income producing commercial properties specifically because the decision to add solar increased the Owner’s profit. It wasn’t just a decision to be ‘green’. Well---not entirely—the green color of dollar bills factored in.
